Astronomy - The purpose of this science classroom activity package is to provide space and solar system activities for fifth grade students (and up) to aid in their awareness of space education.
Build an Animal - The students gain understanding of how individual organisms adapt and relate to an environment by picking a real biome and environment, the "animal" that the students create needs to match all of its life systems to a particular area.

Germination of Seeds - In this lesson, students learn how temperature and gravity affect germination of seeds
Magnets - In this SIOP-structured lesson plan, students use magnets to help compare the amount of iron found in different brands of cereal. They will also check to see if the amount of iron that the manufacturers claim to be in each box is accurate.
Owl Pellets - In this lesson, students will dissect an owl pellet to remove bones and remains, rReconstruct a skeletal system, and identify possible prey of the owl.
Parts of the Cell - In this SIOP-structured lesson plan, students differentiate the characteristics of animal and plant cells, identify and name at least six organelles in the cell, match effectively the function to the organelle on a cell model and build a three-dimensional model of a plant or animal cell.
Periodic Table - In this lesson, students categorize a group of shells and unknown elements using different characteristics, and read and interpret the Periodic Table. Click here for a chart.
Photosynthesis - In this activity, students create a PowerPoint or a web page to demonstrate their understanding of photosynthesis.
PowerPoint the Elements - The learner will create a twelve to fifteen PowerPoint slide show on a specific element from the periodic table.
Puff Mobile - students will use materials given to design a puff mobile, work in teams, brainstorm, write directions on how to build a puff mobile, test their puff mobile
